Wednesday, the 22nd, several of us of the NAG group went to the Crooked Fence Brewing Company in Eagle and they graciously allowed us to paint on their grounds. It was a very fun morning, with terrific light. Actually, had we been about an hour earlier, the light and contrasts were spectacular. All enjoyed the outing. I painted in oils and got pretty dark, but lightened it in the studio yesterday and will add a photo later. I am pleased with the outcome, and that seldom happens.
Dotty (rear), Judy (middle) and Gerry intent on their work. My easel is in the background. We were painting a pond scene with rocks and trees.
Mike painting a pretty cool scene of a statue in front of a falls, and creek running through. He got a pretty cool watercolor of the scene.
It was a good day. Today is cooler and I'm out the door to paint this morning.
