Plein Aire at Silver City

I drove to Silver City yesterday morning. It was a clear, blue sky, day with not one cloud. The road is a bit rough which makes the drive seem long, but the leaves on the birch trees have changed and the granitic rock, trees and steep slopes are pleasing to the eye.

I was by myself, and tried to get above the village, but roads were blocked and I am not equipped to hike with the gear I use. That is a problem that I need to solve soon.

I finished a pretty cool little watercolor sketch and had a fun drive down the Oregon side on the way home. It was a good day out painting.
