Had a great time getting out of the snow in Caldwell/Boise. San Diego was beautiful, clear, sunny (mostly), and the Ocean was it's normal magnificent. We visited piers, Point Loma, the art colony at Balboa Park and on, and on.
I tried to hooking up with the San Diego Watercolor Society to paint outside, but at the two places I wanted to paint with them, nobody showed (La Jolla Cove and Mission Bay roller coaster). I painted by myself last Wednesday at Mission Bay, but it was too crowded (tons of visitors) at La Jolla.
Sandy and I did go to the San Diego Watercolor Society exhibition at Liberty Station in SD. It is a very cool place that the city took over from the Navy and the buildings are filled with art, galleries, artist's studios, and tasty food. Add this place for a visit.
