I attended NAG yesterday and the day was so sweet that Mike Polk and I headed downtown to paint, instead of staying at the Navy Reserve Building to paint with the crowd. We had a very nice time painting and we had lunch at the parking spot in front of the Nampa Depot, one of my favorite subjects.
I went to the opposite end of the block and sketched the corner Kungfu Dojo using gouache. The glob in the corner is a young chubby woman that sat for a minute on the bench provided, checking her phone. Nothing special about the sketch, but the day was special.
